Ridgewood United Methodist Church offers a variety of Bible Study opportunities throughout the year, from regular and ongoing classes to seasonal and short-term studies. There is something for everyone…attend them all! Bible Study is a very important aspect of our spiritual growth. Studying by yourself at home is a wonderful way to meditate on the scriptures and speak to God. Studying with a small group gives an added opportunity to grow in relationship with your fellow Christians and to gain greater insight into the scriptures as you study together. Jump in anytime!

LOGOS Youth Club ~ Wednesday evenings at 5:30pm – 8:20pm (including Confirmation class)
**LOGOS WILL RESUME IN SEPTEMBER, 2019!**
Meet new friends, have fun and feel the love of God! At LOGOS, we believe that nothing is more important than a saving relationship with God through Jesus Christ and that we should all seek to be His disciples. The LOGOS ministry focuses this belief on the nurture of children and youth – helping them to develop into life-long believers and practicing disciples of Jesus Christ. All children, K-12 are welcome!
The four parts of the LOGOS weekly ministry model are:
- Bible Study
Bible study nurtures youth and children into intelligent and biblically informed disciples. In grade level groups, each LOGOS class uses a curriculum that is designed to meet their unique needs and learning capabilities.
- Worship Skills
Worship is essential and central to the Christian community. In Worship Skills young people learn about worship and prepare to lead in the Sunday morning service of worship. This is typically done through singing, chimes, puppetry, drama, etc.
- Recreation Play
Recreation Play allows LOGOS young people to experience great fun! Children and youth participate in games, crafts and active play. When we reveal ourselves in play, we strengthen friendships, and if conflicts occur, we practice being Children of God.
- Family Time
Family Time provides a joyous, inter-generational celebration. Over a shared meal, LOGOS young people experience being part of the family of God. Young people are assigned to tables along with one or two adults who act as “table parents.” The group around the table becomes a family as they share meals together each week, throughout the year. Food is served family style. Conversation is purposeful. Life is celebrated!
